How to set your chat window language

Live chat window can be translated into the following languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Farsi (Persian), Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.

You can select the needed language customization on the Account Settings / Regional Settings page. All customizable and non customizable elements of your live chat window will be translated into the selected language. In case you have already made customizations in your account, our system will offer either to replace all texts with the default translation or skip the update of the texts you have already customized.

If you would like to add your own texts, you can manually update customizable elements of your live chat window:

Please note! If you decide to overwrite your custom texts with the default ones while translating your account, this update cannot be reversed.

Is it possible to translate the live chat window into several languages?

We offer only one set of customizations per account. This means you can have your live chat window translated only in one language. In case you need to have the chat window translated into several languages, you can create more accounts in our system. If your agents assist in several languages, they can launch their agent apps for different accounts from the same computer and assist customers in different agent app windows.

Time zone and email encoding

Correct time zone is an important part of your live chat localization. The time displayed in your chat transcripts will be taken from the time zone settings defined on the Account Settings / Regional Settings page.

By default Unicode (UTF-8) is set as the email messages encoding. This setting is the best choice for most languages. However, if you prefer to use other encoding, you can select it on the Account Settings / Regional Settings page.
